After a long red-eye flight from the New York City and a frustrating runway delay, we felt a bit grumpy. However,our mood quickly improved when we arrived at the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino and were greeted with a complimentary and delicious rum punch at reception. it’s an excellent notion that other hotels should do the same.

San Juan Marriott Resort Ocean View Rooms
We went to our room and admired the stunning view. From that moment on, we was convinced. The room was roomy and had a sliding glass door, which opened up to my personal balcony, where we could enjoy breakfast or a drink while watching the waves.
The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the sheets were so soft. Even the walls were adorned with art, making the room feel more homey. we were so excited to spend our vacation in such a beautiful place. As we stepped outside onto the balcony, we could feel the warm ocean breeze. It was the perfect way to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We were in paradise and we couldn’t wait to explore the island.
San Juan Marriott Resort Restaurants
When we arrived at the hotel, we was starving. The laid-back La Isla Beach bar – just downstairs – offered a few salads, appetizers, and healthy burgers, but the coconut prawns were calling me.
We brought our meals back to our room and enjoyed the meals on my balcony and afterwards.
On our second evening in Puerto Rico, we dined at La Vista Latin Grill on the ground floor of the hotel. With unique Puerto Rican inspired cuisine on the menu, this was by far one of our favorite meals of the trip.
Nightlife
One of the coolest things about the San Juan Marriott resort is the Red Coral Lounge. We found it fascinating that 95% of the bar’s revenue comes from locals. Puerto Ricans dance the night away to live music and (unsurprisingly) many of them know how to dance! If you want to see real Puerto Rican culture, come here.
The Stellaris Casino is located on the ground floor of the hotel, near the Red Coral Lounge. The casino offers free Blackjack lessons to its customers. We had the best time to learn the strategy of this game and I finally had the opportunity to ask the dealer all the questions. The dealer was nice.
